Wine, Steak and Good Friends...

This year Texas Reds was a lot of fun, downtown Bryan was packed and word on the street is this years turn out was the largest yet. Paul and I tasted great wines a few favorites are:

Pleasant Hill Winery - Tawny Rosso Forte
Landon Winery - Yellow Rose
Haak Winery - Madeira
Retreat Hill - Raisin Wine
Messina Hof - Riesling & Reflections

The food and wine was wonderful but you couldn't beat the heat no matter what precautions you took. When the sun went down and the music started everything was so relaxing. Hope to see everyone out next year.

So, this morning the girls and I left the boys at home and had a wonderful girls day! The day started with brunch at Eccell Steakhouse, Pedi's at Super Nails, a little bit of shopping at Charming Charlie's and we went to see The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. We had a great time and good conversation. Even with a jealous boyfriend at home I came home too a beautiful vase of flowers. Hope everyone else had a wonderful sunday!

life keeps going...

Yay! So, I'm basically done with class this semester...I just have a ridiculous case study due for comparative psychology which is driving me crazy. Work is busy and about to get even worse with people leaving and new hires coming in things are bound to get bad. I'm really excited about this Sunday the girls and I are going to Eccell Steakhouse for brunch then pedi's and possible a movie or Messina Hof's wine bar...if the boys are lucky they can meet us for dinner :)

Paul finishes all his classes this Friday soo it will be nice to actually see each for other things besides sleep, dinner and dog walks. Paul graduates in December so he's in shock and I'm excited, one of us needs to start on are career's! Until he gets a job he'll have the great task of getting the yard at the new house ready! We're moving in with our friend Celeste, she lives in a wonderful 1920's 3 bedroom home on a little over an acre. We'll be able to save an unbelievable amount of money for our own home and the dogs will have some land to run on.

That's it for now...until next time here's a quote "Women are not to be understood; they are to be loved."

A weekend filled with good friends and fairytales!!!

Friday Paul and I went to dinner with Paula, Josh and Celeste at the Fox and Hound. Ate a good dinner, had a few beers with good conversation. Paula and Josh just got married and are shopping around for a house. It was good to catch up with them it's been ages since we've seen each other.

It's a beautiful Sunday, Paul and I were eating breakfast with Celeste at Hullabaloo Cafe in Wellborn, TX when Zach called to make sure I was going to be at their proposal. I then found out that he needs me to walk her to the century tree so that she goes the right direction and walks instead of parking off of university and messing everything up. So Paul and I ran home changed and raced to help Zach with his plan. The weather was perfect and Lindsey didn't suspect a thing, she was to upset that he didn't propose at Ring Dance. When we made it into the clearing in front of the academic building she saw the Corps of Cadets lined up in front of the century tree, it then hit her that this proposal wasn't for Adrianne (since Adam isn't in the corps) but for her. She started balling and was so happy. I went to stand with the rest of the friends and family watching and waiting for her to say yes. She said yes and everyone cheered! Nothing like a fairytale proposal to end a wonderful weekend!

Pat & Holly's Baby Shower

This past weekend was Holly's baby shower at Sarah and Caleb's house. The shower went really well, I think everyone had a good time. We took Brew and Amber of course, they had a wonderful time playing with Josie, Dixie, Holly, Chance and Henry's! The plus about a baby shower is playing with all the babies, gotta get my baby fix someway! Once baby Georgia Elizabeth (Pat and Holly's soon to be baby girl) is born I'll have another baby to play with. Hope you enjoy the pictures because I enjoyed the shower!
